Milan is one of the more modern cities of Italy, it is a great place to visit to shop, eat and enjoy good wine as it is still host to traditional Italian cuisine and culture. We've put together a guide for some spots to try food and drink in Milan whilst wandering around this metropolitan city.

Unlike other cities in Italy, you need to dig a little to find the wonders in Milan, as it doesn't boast as many tourist, sightseeing attractions as the likes of Venice, Rome or Pisa. Whilst we used this city break as an opportunity to soak up the food and atmosphere of Milan, we also planned a few trips to significant locations, so here are my hits and misses for some of the picturesque sights in Milan.
The fashion capital of Italy, and one of the world, Milan is a sophisticated city oozing charisma and glamour with its beautiful architecture, glorious historical buildings and notorious designer flagship stores. The fast-paced, modern cosmopolitan city may be a contrast to other areas of Italy, with its uber efficient metro services, modern dress sense and attitude towards business, but Milan still hosts great Italian food and art. Celebrating the after-work drink ceremony, the Milanese have a stylist attitude to fashion and work, and a city break to Milan allows you to soak up the sights, style and food of this metropolis in Northern Italy.
