As a Northerner, my immediate thought when contemplating visiting London is how expensive the city is. With the average cost of a pint twice as much as other cities in the country, London can be a pricey affair, with boutique cafes, prestige restaurants and extortionate taxi fares. That being said, the capital also offers alot of free attractions, being home to a variety of national galleries and museums. Whilst you won't get any change from a tenner for a gin and tonic, read our guide to enjoying the city without needing to spend a penny!
