If you're ever looking for a cheap flight, maybe you're staying at friends or family, or you already have your accommodation booked, look no further than Skyscanner. Skyscanner is a global unbiased search engine which compares prices for flights, hotels and care hire. They aim is:
'To inspire travellers around the world and make travel search as easy as possible through our world-class technology.' And honestly I think they fulfill that aim. With dirt cheap flight prices to destinations all over the world by comparing hundreds of airlines, Skyscanner is a great site to for kick-starting your journey. Flight Search
Although Skyscanner offers searches for flights, hotel AND car hire, personally I've only ever used the flight service. Alike to icelolly.com, skyscanner has an 'everywhere' option as a destination, allowing you to select your departure airport (as well as nearby options), and showing the cheapest options for destinations. Not only that you can chose to search for flights in the cheapest month, or overview flights from dates throughout the whole month. Such as in the example below; I have selected the departure airport and chosen 'everywhere' as the final destination, whilst selecting the cheapest month as the dates of travel.
The results show destinations according to their ascending prices, although each country may display flights during different months. (Yes that really is £23 to Belgium and Netherlands)
Selecting Belgium for instance, the results are displayed in a calendar, showing the prices for single journeys to that destination. The calendar adjacent to this shows prices for the returning flight.
The flights really are as cheap as they appear. I've often books flights on here (I booked my flights to India using skyscanner and got the cheapest deal by far - £200 for a flight from Mumbai to Dubai then Dubai to Manchester with Emirates).I love the 'everywhere' search feature, I think its great if you're looking for a trip but not quite sure where to go. If you can find accommodation cheap its a really inexpensive way of travelling - especially if you're looking for the cheapest internal flight whilst on your adventures.
Trustworthy?
From my experience I can confirm that they are very trust-worthy. I've never had any issues booking with them and they never have any hidden charges or added extras. They have a great help and support page if you're having any issues: https://help.skyscanner.net/hc/en-gb Not only that they have 10 global offices - Barcelona, Beijing, Budapest, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Miami, Shenzhen, Singapore and Sofia, so can offer support worldwide.
City Breaks
As well as flights, Skyscanner occasionally offers city break deals; https://www.skyscanner.net/news/deals/ as well as inspiration for your next trip with their blog.
It's my favourite site for flights, so I'd definitely consider searching before you book your next trip!
